Pumpkin and applesauce - a recipe for the winter: how to make delicious homemade fruit puree.
Pumpkin applesauce - rich in vitamins, beautiful and aromatic, made from ripe pumpkin pulp and sour apples, has become a favorite treat for our family. It just so happens that not a single season is complete without its preparation. Making such a tasty preparation is very simple, and most importantly, quick. And the vitamins in fruit puree last until spring.
To make puree you will need:
- apples and pumpkin per kilogram;
- grated zest of any citrus - 1 teaspoon;
- add sugar and sand to taste.
How to make delicious puree for the winter.
We cut sour apples into slices, and peeled pumpkin into pieces.
We put the chopped vegetables and fruits in a steamer or juicer and simmer until the chopped pieces soften, usually about ten to fifteen minutes is enough.
Rub the soft pieces of vegetables while still hot through a sieve or colander.
Afterwards, combine the puree with sugar and zest.
The resulting vegetable mixture, stirring thoroughly, is heated to ninety degrees and immediately placed in 0.5 liter jars.
Fruit puree prepared for the winter needs to be sterilized for 10 - 12 minutes at a temperature of 90 degrees.
This homemade apple and pumpkin puree is not only delicious, but also beneficial to the body. After all, both of its components (apple and pumpkin) are simply a Klondike of vitamins. Pumpkin and applesauce prepared at home is even recommended as complementary feeding for infants.
