This simple recipe for making apricot jam allows you to preserve the maximum beneficial properties of this fruit. Even if the apricots are not preserved whole, this preparation will allow you to make a presentable, tasty and healthy jam from them.

  • 1 kg. apricot;
  • 400 ml. water;
  • 1.5 kg. sugar

And now, step by step, how to make apricot jam for the winter.

Place the washed fruits in water at a temperature of 90° for 5 minutes. If we use whole apricots rather than halves (but without pits), then the fruits must be pierced. This way the skin will not burst and they will retain their shape.

Then cool in running water.

Dip the fruits into hot syrup. Let it brew for 3 - 4 hours.

Afterwards, cook until done.

If whole fruits are used, then cook the jam in four steps. That is, the apricots boiled for 5-10 minutes. We leave them for 12 hours. And we will repeat this three/four more times.

Place the finished apricot jam in pasteurized jars.

Let's roll up. When it cools down, we send it to a special storage place.
