Simple seedless cherry plum jam with cinnamon in the oven

When the first cherry plums ripen in the summer, I always try to make various preparations from them for the winter. Today I will cook delicious and simple seedless cherry plum jam in the oven. But, according to this recipe, the result is not quite an ordinary preparation, since cinnamon is added to the jam.

Ingredients:

  • cherry plum – 5 kg;
  • sugar – 5 kg;
  • water – 3 glasses;
  • cloves - 1 pc.;
  • ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp.

How to make cherry plum jam

Before you start cooking, prepare the ingredients.

Wash the cherry plum, let the water drain, and separate it into two halves with a knife.

Make syrup from sugar and water: add sugar to water and bring to a boil, set aside from heat.

Pour the berries into this syrup, mix and leave for 2 hours.

Place our future jam in an oven preheated to 150 degrees. You need to cook it for 1 hour 30 minutes, stir it 2-3 times during cooking so as not to burn. Add ground cinnamon about 15 minutes before the end of cooking.

Pour the finished cherry plum jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.

For those who love variety and different new tastes, you can add a clove to some jars.

Store sweet homemade preparations in a cool, dark room. It is better to consume cherry plum jam with cookies or spread on bread or a bun. In winter, it is great for making compotes. The aromatic jam prepared according to this recipe will be a good helper for you on any occasion. 🙂
