Lingonberry jam with honey - an original recipe for making lingonberry jam in honey syrup.
Lingonberry jam will become even more delicious if you make it with honey, and not according to the usual recipe - with sugar. Such preparations were cooked in the old days, when sugar was considered a delicacy, and honey was in every home.
How to make lingonberry jam with honey.
Lingonberry jam is cooked not just with honey, but with honey syrup. Therefore, save 700 g of honey, mix it with 100 g of water and put it on a hot stove.
When our honey syrup boils, remove the foam from it and add 1 kg of washed and dried lingonberries.
Now, you need to increase the heat so that the jam boils as quickly as possible, and then reduce it so that the jam simmers gently.
Boil lingonberries until the berries are ready. At the end of cooking, they will acquire a honey aroma, and the taste will be pleasantly mild.
At the end of cooking the jam, it is recommended to put a few fresh mint leaves and/or petals from red garden roses and/or linden inflorescences into the pan. Whether or not to include the listed spices is a matter of your individual choice, depending on your taste.
The lingonberries in honey syrup are placed in jars, hot and already cooled; they need to be placed in the pantry for winter storage.
