So we need:
- melon - 1/2 piece;
- cherry plum - 200 grams;
- sugar - 300 grams.
How to make jam from melon and cherry plum
Before you start making the jam, you need to wash the melon and cut it in half. According to the recipe, we need one half of a melon. You can eat the second one to appreciate its taste and aroma. Remove seeds from melon. Trim off the skin. Cut the pulp into small pieces. The melon pieces should be the size of cherry plum halves.
Cut the cherry plum lengthwise, remove the seeds and place in a container with prepared melon pieces.
Cover the melon and cherry plum with sugar. Leave for 2.5-3 hours so that the berries release their juice.
Place the pumpkin pieces with cherry plum slices in sugar syrup on the fire.
Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for twelve minutes. During this time, the melon and cherry plum will have time to boil and acquire the desired consistency, but the beneficial substances will remain intact.Place the prepared melon and cherry plum jam into prepared jars.
Close with special lids. Turn over. Cover with a warm towel. Take the cooled pieces to the basement for storage.
