When starting cooking, it is important to remember: the tomatoes used for jam should be chosen not sour, but sweetish.

So, we need to have:

- medium-sized ripe tomatoes - 2 kg;

- walnut slices - 1-2 handfuls (if there are no nuts, then you can do without them, but it’s not quite the same thing);

— sugar — 500 g;

- water - 4 glasses.

Well, I don’t think there’s much point in talking about the need to wash the tomatoes.

On the side opposite the stalk, make a neat hole with a thin, sharp object and carefully remove the seeds.

We lower the nuts into the resulting hole, place the workpiece in a container for making jam and fill it with hot syrup, prepared separately.

After 5 hours, put the tomatoes on the fire and cook for about an hour.

Now, our tomato jam can be packaged in jars prepared in advance and screwed.

We store the workpiece in a place without direct sunlight.
