Jam from seedless plums or how to cook plum jam in slices - tasty and beautiful.
The most delicious plum jam is made using this recipe. At least in our family, where everyone loves sweets. It has excellent taste. This seedless jam is perfect not only for tea, but also as a filling for your favorite pies, desserts or other dough products. The main thing to remember is that plums should not be too overripe.
The composition of the jam is simple:
- you need 2 kg of plums;
- sugar, for this amount of fruit - 2.4 kg;
- water - 4 glasses.
How to make seedless plum jam.
We remove the hard centers from the fruits, cut them into slices and put them in a bowl for cooking.
Separately, we will deal with sugar syrup, which we will cook from the specified water and 1.5 kg of sugar.
Pour boiling syrup over the plum slices and leave for 3-4 hours.
After that, put the bowl of jam on the fire and let it simmer for 5-6 minutes.
Turn it off again and leave it for 8-10 hours.
It remains to repeat everything described above 2 more times. At the end of the last stage, pour the remaining sugar into the jam, it will be about 900 g.
Don't forget to remove any foam that has formed before finishing cooking the jam.
The last thing to do is distribute it among the jars prepared for preparation.
Jam is best stored, of course, at temperatures below normal room temperature, but if this is not possible, then you can just keep it in the room.
