Grape jam - a recipe for the winter. How to make grape jam - tasty and aromatic.
Grape jam prepared according to this simple recipe will amaze all members of your family, as well as guests, with its unusual taste! To make grape jam beautiful at home, you will need not overripe, dense berries.
Jam composition:
- grapes, 2 kg.
- water, 600 gr.
- sugar, 2 kg.
How to make grape jam for the winter:
We separate the berries from the branches, sort them, and wash them.
Then put it in boiling water for 1 minute, after which we transfer it to very cold water. This procedure will preserve the berries’ elasticity and beautiful appearance.
Separately, prepare sugar syrup, in which you need to dip the cooled berries and leave them in it for 6 hours.
Now comes the most important part: making the jam.
Boil for 10 minutes, leave for 8 hours, repeat the procedure again.
When the grapes in the syrup are cooked 3 times, add a small amount of citric acid and vanilla.
Now, you can pour the jam into pre-prepared jars, cover it with lids and send it for sterilization. Let us remind you that jars are 500 ml. sterilized for 9 minutes, jars of 1000 ml. - 14 minutes each. The pan in which the sterilization process will take place must have a lid; the jars are placed in hot water, but not in boiling water, otherwise the jars may burst. Gradually the temperature is raised to 90 degrees, after which the sterilization time can be measured.
