How to make apple jam so that it pleases both the eyes and the stomach. We invite you to try a simple and very tasty recipe. This is, of course, not 5-minute jam, but it is still cooked quickly and easily, and the apples are not boiled, but preserved in slices.

In order to make jam we will need:

Firm apples of sweet and sour varieties - 1 kg;

Sugar - 1 kg;

Lemon - 1 pc.

Lemon can be replaced with 70 grams of 9% table vinegar.

Now how to make jam.

Wash the apples, peel and core them, and chop them. You can cut it into slices, or you can cut it into pieces, approximately 3x3x3 cm. You should get five 3-liter jars.

Pour the peeled and chopped apples into an enamel container for making jam and cover with sugar.

Add water and place on high heat.

Mix. The sugar should dissolve and the syrup in the apples should boil.

Reduce heat and cook over low heat for one hour, stirring gently. Make sure the jam doesn't burn.

After an hour, add lemon juice and pulp or simply pour vinegar.

Cook for another 15-20 minutes, put into pre-prepared jars, close with plastic lids or roll up.

Once again I want to emphasize that, of course, this apple jam is not 5-minute jam, but you must agree that it doesn’t happen faster.
