Usually, I make this apple jam in the fall, when the harvest has already been harvested and the fruits have already reached maximum ripeness and sugar content. Sometimes I make jam with a lot of syrup, and sometimes, like this time, I make it so that there is very little syrup in it. This recipe for preparing the stock gives me the opportunity to get the most “dry” apple slices, which I use not only as jam, but also as a beautiful filling for various baked goods.

To make apple jam according to this recipe we will need:

Apples

— apples — 1 kg;

— sugar — 0.8-1.1 kg;

- water - 300 ml;

- cinnamon - to taste.

How to make apple jam with cinnamon slices.

We start cooking by preparing the fruits: wash them, peel them and core them, cut them into beautiful oblong slices as in the photo.

Now, quickly cook the syrup from sugar and water.

When the sugar dissolves, sprinkle with cinnamon.

and add the prepared apple slices.

Let them brew for at least 5 hours. The amount of sugar in the syrup depends on how sweet or sour your apples are, and how sweet you want the jam to be.

Place the container with jam on low heat and bring to a boil. With gentle stirring, without increasing the heat, let it simmer for 15 minutes and set aside to steep for at least 5 hours.

We repeat this jam cooking 2-3 more times.

Hot apple jam is packaged in containers intended for storage. Lay out carefully so as not to damage the slices.

We cover with plastic lids and send them to be stored in the place where you store previously prepared homemade preserves.

This jam made from apples with cinnamon, cooked into beautiful and appetizing slices, stores well, although its chances of standing for a long time are not great. Lovers of apple preparations will quickly appreciate it and, therefore, I usually prepare it in the maximum quantity possible for us.
