We wash and peel the ripe blackberries, then strain them using a colander.

After the berries have dried, pour them into an enamel pan or vessel. Sprinkle sugar over the berries and mix. Then we pass it through a meat grinder, and add water to the resulting mass.

Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and continue cooking for about 10 minutes. Now add sugar and cook until done at one time (the syrup should thicken and begin to turn into jelly).

For 1 kilogram of berries, take 1 glass of water and 1.2 - 1.4 kilograms of sugar.

Blackberry jam goes well with regular white bread as a sandwich in the morning. For ice cream, blackberry jam is an excellent flavor addition. Blackberry jam is also great for making tea.
