Ingredients included in the jam: 1 kg of cherries, 1.5 kg of sugar (of which 0.5 kg for syrup), 1 glass of water.

How to make cherry jam.

The main thing is choice cherries. It should be a rich dark color.

Wash the berries and pour boiling water over them.

Then place in a container, pour hot syrup. Leave it like this for at least 5 hours.

Afterwards, strain, add another 0.5 kg of sugar to the syrup, boil for 10 minutes. Return the berries to the syrup and set aside again for at least 5 hours.

Strain the jam from the cherries again, add the remaining 0.5 kg of sugar, boil for 10 minutes, return the berries, set aside for at least 5 hours.

Boil the present jam until ready, roll in banks.

Cherry jam with pits, prepared according to this simple homemade recipe, has an unusual taste due to the presence of the pits, but children under 3 years old should not consume it.

It is practically not used as an auxiliary ingredient for preparing dishes in winter. But with hot aromatic tea in winter... this, in my opinion, is the most delicious cherry jam.
