To prepare delicious salted tomatoes for the winter, there are a great many recipes, but I want to tell you an original homemade recipe for pickling tomatoes for the winter with the addition of corn leaves, as well as young corn stalks.

We carry out salting based on:
- for 10 kg of tomatoes;
– salt – 500-600 grams;
- spicy greens, stems and leaves of young corn.
And now, how to pickle tomatoes for the winter quickly and tasty.
To prepare tomatoes according to this recipe, you need to select red tomato fruits, but with green ones - not overripe, still hard.
It is best to salt tomatoes in small oak barrels from 25 to 50 liters, but you can also use ordinary glass bottles for this purpose.
The fragrant leaves of black currant need to be doused with boiling water, and then placed on the bottom of a bottle or barrel.
Wash tomatoes, leaves and stems of young corn and herbs that you prefer under running water.
Place a layer of corn leaves on top of the currant leaves, then a layer of tomatoes and finally, herbs.

Place young corn stalks cut into small pieces (1-2 cm) onto each layer of tomatoes.
And so, alternating layers, we fill the pickling container, be sure to put corn leaves on the top layer and fill the container with settled water.
Pour the salt indicated in the recipe into a clean gauze bag and place it on top of the corn leaves, so that it is covered with water.
The container with the workpiece should be covered with a circle of wood, and a weight should be placed on top.
These salted tomatoes will remain in the cellar until spring. They can be served as a tasty snack, or you can rub them through a sieve to make tomato sauce, for making seasonings or adding to first and second courses.
