The proposed salad preparation is from the same series of recipes. Our delicious winter cucumber salad is easy to make and goes down very quickly. Its main advantage is that it accommodates all sorts of cucumbers: large ones, ugly ones, and overripe ones. In a word - everything, everything, everything.

How to make cucumber salad without sterilization.

Fresh cucumbers

Take the cucumbers (remember that you can take large and overripe ones), wash them thoroughly, peel the skins, cut lengthwise, then crosswise, you should get medium-sized cubes.

Salt the cooked cucumbers and put them in a cool place.

The next day we transfer them to jars, adding horseradish, onions, and green dill.

Pour the prepared mixture with vinegar, which we prepare in advance.

To pour into boiling water, add sugar, bay leaf, and pepper. After a day, drain the filling, boil it, add vinegar and pour it over the cucumbers while still hot, cover with a plastic or other reusable lid.

Some housewives use red currant juice instead of vinegar, which they take in 0.5 liters of water - ¾ cup. In this case, the taste of the salad is slightly different, but it also turns out very tasty.

To make this preparation for 2 kg of pre-peeled cucumbers you need: 300 g of onion (preferably small), 50 g of horseradish (grated in advance), 150 g of salt, dill.

For salad dressing you need: 0.5 liters of water, 100 g of sugar, 0.2 liters of 9% vinegar, pepper, bay leaf.
