Therefore, we suggest trying this slightly different method of preparing pickled gooseberries. Here, too, unripe berries are used. The recipe is designed for 0.5 and 1 liter jars.
To make this recipe you should stock up on:
- gooseberries
- sugar syrup (per 1.5 liters of water - 1 kg of sugar)
- spicy spices: cloves, cinnamon, allspice
- vinegar per 1 liter jar (9% - 20 ml.)
Wash the gooseberries, remove the stem, blanch in boiling water for a couple of minutes, arrange jars.
Pour hot sugar syrup over the berries. Add spices and vinegar to them. We send pasteurize for 15-20 minutes, then roll up.
Thanks to the abundance of “preservative” substances that create the original sweet and sour taste, such a pickled gooseberry keeps well for a long time.
