Frozen peaches: how to freeze peaches for the winter in the freezer
Fragrant peaches with tender flesh are a favorite delicacy of many people. But in the off-season they are quite expensive. To save the family budget, many people use freezing to preserve this fruit for a long time. We will talk about all the ways to freeze peaches for the winter in this article.
Product selection and preparation
You need to choose peaches for further freezing very carefully. For this type of “preservation”, only ripe, dense, without dents, undamaged by rot specimens are used.
Selected fruits must be washed. And it doesn’t matter at all whether the skin will be removed from the peaches in the future or not - water procedures are required!
After this, the fruits need to be dried by blotting them with a waffle or paper towel.
Ways to freeze peaches for the winter
How to Freeze Whole Peaches with the Pit
Clean and dry fruits must be wrapped in paper, each separately. In this form, the peaches are placed in a bag, sealed tightly and sent to the freezer.
Before use, fruits are thawed at room temperature and eaten as fresh.
How to Freeze Peaches with Parchment
Cut the fruit in half and remove the pit. Then the peach halves are placed cut side up in a container. Place a sheet of parchment (wax paper, baking paper) cut to fit the size of the container on the cut. Place the peache halves on top of the paper again, cut side down. The containers are sent to the freezer for storage.
How to freeze bulk peaches
Peaches can be frozen this way, with or without skin.
To remove the skin, place the fruit in a pan of boiling water for a few seconds. After this procedure, the skin can be very easily removed with a knife.
Peeled peaches are cut into halves or quarters. To prevent them from darkening when frozen, they are soaked in an acidified solution of lemon juice for 15 minutes. This procedure is absolutely optional and only affects the aesthetic appearance of frozen fruit.
Next, the peach slices are laid out on a flat surface covered with polyethylene. In this form they go into the freezer for several hours. After the pieces are thoroughly frozen, they are poured into a separate container and put back in the freezer.
When using this method, it is worth considering the fact that peaches very quickly absorb extraneous odors from products stored in your chamber, so it is reasonable to place the board with peaches in a sealed bag.

How to freeze peaches with sugar
The fruits are washed, peeled, pitted, and then cut into pieces of the desired size. Since freezing in this form is often used as a filling for sweet pastries, you can cut the peaches into cubes or not very wide slices.
Prepared fruits are placed in bags or containers and sprinkled with sugar to taste.
How to Freeze Peaches in Syrup
The fruits are peeled and cut into halves and quarters, placed in a dense layer in containers. Syrup made from 1 liter of water and 700 grams of sugar is poured over the workpiece so that the peaches are completely immersed in the liquid.
The main rule with this freezing method is not to pour the syrup to the very edges of the container, otherwise, when it freezes, it will spill out.
How to freeze peach puree for the winter
Puree the peeled fruits with a blender until smooth. If necessary, you can add granulated sugar, but if you are preparing such a preparation for feeding a child, then it is better not to do this.
The puree is placed in plastic cups or poured into molds for making ice. The cups are wrapped in cling film and placed in the freezer, and the peach ice cubes, after pre-freezing, are removed from the molds and poured into a bag or container.
This preparation is convenient to use as a filler for porridge.
