Rules for freezing cottage cheese

Freezing cottage cheese is a simple matter, but it still has a number of features:

  • For storage in the freezer, it is better to use dry granular crumbly cottage cheese, the shelf life of which has not yet come to an end.
  • The cottage cheese is placed in portions into glass molds with airtight lids. It is better not to use plastic bags to avoid moisture loss.
  • The optimal temperature for freezing cottage cheese is 18℃. This will make the defrosting process easier and will retain all the beneficial nutritional properties. At temperatures below the stated one, the taste of this product deteriorates.
  • The shelf life of bulk cottage cheese is 2 months, semi-finished products with cottage cheese no more than a month.
