Separately, pepper preparations and cheese preparations do not surprise anyone today. And we suggest canning together. Baked red pepper with feta cheese is a rather original preparation for the winter, invented by the Bulgarians and loved in many countries.

Pepper and cheese

For this homemade preparation you need to take 5 kg of pepper. Preferably red - it has a brighter taste and aroma.

Bake the peppers in a hot oven, place them hot in a tight plastic bag. Tie tightly with twine, and after twenty minutes open the bag. Peel the pepper first from the skin and then from the seeds. Chop with a heavy chef's knife.

Now you need to add crushed salted cheese (you need 500 g) and 300 g of sunflower oil.

Mix the pepper, cheese and butter well.

Place in jars (250 or 350 ml) and sterilize in boiling water. 20 or 25 minutes will be enough.

Seal the jars and place them in a cold storage room.

Baked bell peppers with feta cheese are quite easy to prepare. This original preparation of pepper can also be used as an appetizer, spread on bread, a base for a salad, as a cold independent dish or a side dish for meat, as a filling for pies or pasties... You never know what kind of dishes a skilled housewife can come up with.
