Green pea

To prepare delicious canned peas, select only young, undamaged pods.

First you need to prepare the container: immerse washed small jars in a boiling solution of ordinary soda for a quarter of an hour. For 3 liters of water, take 1 teaspoon. The plaque formed on the walls does not need to be removed.

Place the peas in an enamel bowl, add water to cover the peas a little, place on the stove and cook for a quarter of an hour.

We distribute the peas into the prepared jars, leaving them slightly incomplete, pour them with vinegar as stated in the recipe and fill them with burning brine.

You can cover the jars the old-fashioned way: film + rubber band, cool and put in the refrigerator. In this case, canned peas are not intended for long-term storage and should be eaten no later than after 3-4 months.

But it is better to seal the workpiece hermetically, subject it to preliminary sterilization (½ liter - 10 minutes) and store it in a dark, cool place.

Sealed homemade green peas can be stored for a year or more.
